Start Your Will ›We help individuals and couples across the UK with will writing, Lasting Power of Attorney, and trust planning — all handled by phone and online, with solicitor checking included. No office visits, no waiting lists.
A valid will ensures your estate goes to the people you choose — not whoever the law decides. Without one, your assets are distributed according to the rules of intestacy, which may bear no resemblance to your wishes. Unmarried partners receive nothing. Stepchildren are not automatically included.
We cover single wills, mirror wills for couples, and wills with trusts for more complex situations. You fill in a short form, speak to one of our will writers by phone, and receive a solicitor-checked will ready to sign at home.
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) lets you appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you're ever unable to make them yourself — whether due to illness, an accident, or deteriorating mental capacity.
There are two types: a Property and Financial Affairs LPA, which covers decisions about your bank accounts, property, and bills; and a Health and Welfare LPA, which covers medical treatment and care decisions. Both need to be set up while you still have mental capacity — you can't put one in place after the fact.
Many people set up an LPA at the same time as making their will, while the process is fresh and everything is already being considered.
A trust allows you to set aside assets for specific people or purposes, and control how and when those assets are passed on. Trusts are commonly used to protect a share of property for children from a previous relationship, manage how young beneficiaries receive an inheritance, or ring-fence assets from care home fees.
Trust planning is often built into a will rather than set up separately — our will writers will discuss whether a trust makes sense for your situation during your call, and explain the options in plain English.
Fill in a short form and one of our will writers will call you to talk through what you need. There's nothing to prepare — just a straightforward conversation.
